The Flying Pig is an event management company that works with hotels — both resort and urban — turning their bars, rooftops and common spaces into live music venues, cultural hubs and showcases for local talent. The kind of company that once recreated the legendary Beatles rooftop concert with enough accuracy that the police showed up. That energy needed a web presence to match.
My work was the design and development of their site, built in Next.js with Sanity.io as the CMS. The brief called for something with personality — loose, confident, slightly irreverent — that could also function as a proper business tool for a company selling strategic consulting and event production to hotel clients. The site handles both registers without either one undermining the other, which is exactly the kind of balance that makes a web project interesting to build.
